This is my ‘why’
I’d love to help you, too.
In 2016 I was living in Melbourne and working a stressful 9-5 agency job. I’d always struggled with anxiety but at this point in my life it was really starting to feel like it was taking over.
A few months into the year I had a health diagnoses that made me stop and think about what I wanted for my life.
I realised how much I missed my family after living abroad for so many years. I dreamt of having a family of my own and I craved the flexibility and autonomy of running my own business.
So I made the decision to move home to New Zealand to start a small design studio.
For the first six months or so I found house sittings gigs so I didn’t have to worry about rent.
I joined local net working groups, reconnected with old contacts and started to generate regular income.
I loved the variety that came with working with different clients and I loved having flexibility in my working hours.
Through running my own business I’ve had the freedom to explore new opportunities, develop new skills and enjoy having control over my own destiny.
It’s created a balance in my life that didn’t realise I needed.
There have been many challenges along the way, but when I see a client grow confidence in their business, be proud of what they put out into the world and start kicking their business goals, it makes it all worth it.
